Black Jack Game Rules

Blackjack is a card game between a player and the dealer. This card game has 4 deck cards with 52 cards each. The player's objective is to "beat" the dealer, and there are several ways to do this:

  • The player receives a score of 21 points (blackjack) on the first two cards, whereas the dealer does not.
  • When the player's end score is higher than the dealer's.
  • If the dealer draws a number greater than 21.

The following are the card values: The King, Queen, and Jacks are worth 10 points each. An ace can be worth 11 points or 1 point. For the cards 2-10, the value must be equal to the number on the card.

The winner (player or dealer) is the one who has a score of 21 or a higher but less than 21 score than the other. When your score exceeds 21, you 'bust' and lose your bet. When a player and the dealer both receive the same number of points, this is referred to as a "push." A push means you don't win, but you get your initial bet back (for that hand).

If the open card of the dealer is an ace or has a value of 10 points, the dealer will check if they have Blackjack. If the closed card has a value of 10 points or is an ace (making a total of 21 points), the dealer has a Blackjack and the round ends immediately.

Bet

A bet can be placed in one of three fields on the table. To begin the game, you must place at least one bet. The minimum bet per field is € 25,00 and the maximum bet per field is € 500,00. You can bet by selecting chips from the bottom right corner and placing them on the table. Every chip you place increases your bet (by the value of that chip).

The game

To begin, you will be given two cards. The dealer also receives two cards. You then have the following options:

Hit: The dealer gives you one more card.

Stand: You won't receive any more cards for that hand.

Double: With the double function, you double your initial bet (and therefore place an extra bet). By doubling, you also confirm that you get one more card (and not more or less).

Split: When the first two cards are the same value, the player can divide the card into two hands. By doing so, the players place a new bet equal to the original bet.

Insurance

If the dealers visible (first) card is an Ace, you can buy an insurance. An insurance costs an amount equal to half of your initial bet. When the dealer gets blackjack, you will win twice the value of the insurance.
